Today, we talk about “The art of panelling, basic 1”.   There is a lot to learn, on this subject, and we are gonna look at it, one by one.

 “Draw big! When a character, changes emotion”

We are fortunate to have Hojo sensei’s actual pages again! To make a reader really feel the story, you must ensure how a character feels, which is also felt by the reader. Do that by drawing “Changes” in emotion, big and clear. To further enhance the effect, add two flows of paneling to and from the big panel. “Leading up” to the big panel, and“Aftertaste”the echoes from the big panel. There is a lot to learn, but first learn the basics, and utilise it. Advanced techniques are often just combination of basic skills. GOT IT!?
