Then put them in trouble, and then put them in EVEN MORE trouble, one after another.
スクリーンショット 2015-05-25 11.46.04   Those are golden rules of story creation.   Today we’ll show you how the protagonist who are cornered in the worst situation, Then GET OVER it, conquering the obstacle. We call this…

THE CLIMAX!

スクリーンショット 2015-05-25 11.47.10 The protagonists are in super desperate situation, but use their power/clever tricks to overcome the obstacle, to turn the situation 180 degrees to their advantage. THIS, is the golden pattern of a climax scene, the scene your readers feel the catharsis, and most drawn in.   We’ve put the protagonist in so many difficult situations, one after another… The readers are all eager to find out how they get out of it alive! To make the readers cheer and be happy ,This is the most important thing to remember:

THE UNIQUE WAY to WIN!

If the hero gets out in an ordinary way, it is a bit boring. If the hero, who has been through all the obstacles, does nothing, but instead somebody comes and sort things out for them, then it just doesn’t feel right. No audience will stand up to cheer if that happens! What’s important in the CLIMAX, is to first SURPRISE the readers, in a way that is UNDERSTANDABLE, using the character’s uniqueness, as the means to gaining the upper hand. Because the protagonists are always in trouble, but keep on fighting, using their unique skills or personality, until they reach the dream.   スクリーンショット 2015-05-25 11.51.01 The accumulation of these moments, THEN becomes this pillar, one thick and straight, backbone of the story line.   In the climax, make your protagonists ACT LIKE ONE! It’s something so obvious, yet so easily overlooked. Always remember this golden role!   スクリーンショット 2015-05-25 11.48.56 GOT IT?   In the next episode, we’ll show you how to conclude. The all important, LAST SCENE! See you next time!
