How about some how to draw manga series because a lot of people needs to know more about ‘how to draw emotions-actions-perspective-materials”like metals, glass and liquids” and not to mention the background and the foreground. Thanks for good work!!!

Thank you for the comments! Since we are only dealing with professional knowledge, we may invite professional artists as guest, and ask all about it.   Moving on to next question! スクリーンショット 2015-06-16 12.08.39

Hahaha! you guys have interesting face expression! makes me love learning from you, and want to draw better manga next time for SMA!!! XD   I think giving trouble was never the hardest, but fixing that huge problem you threw in the story. I will be waiting for the next video, thank you guys so much!

Thank you for the complements, Moonsia! A SMA award winner from 2014. Her work is displayed on our website. We are gonna dig even deeper into the creation! Hoping it helps more for you to draw. On “Fixing the huge problem”, one of the things we enjoy talking most, with manga artists, is discussing how silly they will be, in the panic! This, is in fact the one of the elements that makes manga interesting, and fun. If you look at it from the characters’ perspective and imagine “What would this character do?” and answers often come out quite naturally.   On the next comment. スクリーンショット 2015-06-16 12.10.13

I personally don’t really like this particular cliche about spectators explaining every move and how awesome it is. It looks kinda dumb. Though I guess it’s hard to go around it in a supernatural story, since all characters do impossible things like it’s nothing and you still have to make some of them stand out. The only solution I came up with was to build the story as realistic as possible so that supernatural elements would stand out naturally.

Thank you very much for the comment! And exactly so. If the mobs “talk too much” about the awesomeness, it may look a little dumb. What we advise young artists in Japan, is to DRAW the mobs’ reaction, precise and clear. Whatever the protagonists do, you draw how great it is, BY DRAWING the mobs. No need for words, but just the guys with eyes wide open, mouth open and stunned in shock. THOSE characters, will tell the reader, how amazing something is, EVEN WITHOUT WORDS. A bit of SILENT MANGA here! By drawing the story REALISTIC, super-human things may be exaggerated in contrast, but in great works like “AKIRA” by Otomo sensei, there are many mob characters with colourful expressions, like falling down, or eyes and mouth wide open, and so on. THOSE characters reactions, are often the main charm of manga, that makes it a such joy to read.   That’s it for today! We will be answering your questions in the next episodes! This is a great opportunity to have your questions answered by Mocchi the pro. Make use of this opportunity, and remember to subscribe to our channel!
