Introducing a New Pair of One-Shot Debuts by Two Artists Village MasterClass Members

After three Artists Village creators debuted with their one-shots in Monthly Comic ZENON last year, we’re proud to announce an additional pair of one-shot debuts have been added to the collection!

Last year, Sideburn004, Enewald, and monotone_ink each published one-shots, all of which are available in English on the SMAC website and on MangaHot! Now, Nona (Yoonmi) and Wellington Reis (Ichirou) are joining their ranks!

Nona’s one-shot is about Franny, a teenage girl who was abandoned by her mother and raised by her uncle. After not seeing each other for ten years, Franny suddenly learns that her mother is suffering from a serious disease, and may not have much time left. Reluctantly, Franny agrees to meet her. Will Franny be able to put the past behind her…? This is a story about the place where hurt and care collide – about the emotion that forms when pain and love coalesce. Read on to follow Franny on a fraught journey towards acceptance and reconciliation.

Wellington Reis’s one-shot is about Santo, a man so feared and respected in the criminal underworld that people are afraid to even speak his name. One day, this cruel king of crime burns his empire to the ground, as if on a whim, and vanishes. Years later, a nameless, homeless drifter, arrives in the Italian port town of Sanrossi, searching for the family that abandoned him. Instead, he finds a city ruled by fear and a young police officer who cannot uphold justice alone.
