Hi Guys! Taiyo here. You may have seen me on YouTube or met me in person? If you haven’t, then very warm “nice to meet you” 😉 I have now taken the place at SMAC! Web magazine, as the deputy chief editor. My duties include assisting Mocchi, and our army of manga professionals so they can communicate with you, the “SMAC” – “SILENT MANGA AUDITION Community”, to create the next big manga! Since this is my first entry, and in typical Japanese tradition of “introduce yourself before the guest”, here goes little tidbits about me: Before coming to Coamix, I have worked in manga and entertainment industry for the past 10 years. I worked as part of creative team, for clientele including mega publishers to the independents. My most notable contribution to the manga world is working as the creative director for creation of Monthly Comic-ZENON, from concept work to page design. Along the way, I’ve been working on the SILENT MANGA AUDITION® project from day one as an outsider. Now, it is my pride and honour, to be invited by Mochida-San to join Coamix, for the creation of “SMAC!”   I have lived and worked in places ranging from the gulf to Europe and America, being multi-cultural is part of my DNA. Hoping my unique mix of experiences will give SMAC! the diversity we need. So what will we do at “SMAC!”? Our intent is strong and clear : We are gonna be the most well-known, most supportive, most creative and most fun Manga society and a medium, in the whole wide world 🙂 Wish us luck! ps. “SMAC!” name was my idea, hope everyone likes it? Yes it is that slap, a wake up call to the world. Together let’s wake the world up, to the joys of MANGA 😉 Taiyo Nakashima Deputy Chief Editor, SMAC!
