Message from Mocchi and UNESCO

Theme :

“Together for Peace”

“Since wars begin in the minds of people, it is in the minds of people that the defenses of peace must be constructed.”
UNESCO Constitution, 1945

Call out to all manga artists for entries that encapsulate the foundations needed to build a peaceful society. Each entry must effectively convey one or more of these foundations promoting a positive message about contributing to peace in our society from the ground up!

The 4 foundations for Peace:

EDUCATION We all have the right to learn

COMMUNICATION Peace is a universal language

EMPATHY Celebrating diversity and inclusivity

COOPERATION Working together for peace

UNESCO is a United Nations Agency contributing to peace through Education, Science and Culture to further universal respect for justice, human rights and fundamental freedoms.

Your entries will be judged on how well you capture the theme, your emotional storytelling and your technical ability by both the SILENT MANGA AUDITION®  judging panel and a special UNESCO guest judge.

Throughout the “call for entries” period, we will be posting a series of UNESCO Case Studies which will help you better understand “Together for Peace”. Just head over to the Manga Classroom for more details.

Don’t forget to keep an eye on our Social Media channels for Case Study updates.
