Born in Yorkshire, United Kingdom
Born in the windswept North of England, I grew up on a diet of movies, music and comic books. It wasn’t until my first viewing Otome Katsuhiro’s seminal anime masterpiece, ‘AKIRA’, that the world of Japanese manga opened up to me. ‘AKIRA’ (the manga), ’Fist of the North Star’ and ‘Appleseed’ were greedily consumed alongside ‘Judge Dredd’, ’Spider Man’ and Art Spiegleman’s ‘MAUS’, further developing my eclectic palette for entertainment.
Moving to London in 2000, I pursued a career in publishing, culminating in positions with Macmillan Publishing and Harry Potter publisher, Bloomsbury. In 2017, armed with ample editorial experience, I made the move to Japan where I was overjoyed to join the SILENT MANGA AUDITION® editorial team.
